Cottonwood Center for the Arts

Thank you Jon of Cottonwood Center for the Arts for making space for the "Lifelines" project! I was fortunate to attend their first Friday show Divine Living which focused on performance art and activism. http://cottonwoodcenterforthearts.com/first-friday/ The number of participants is now at 35. Thank you to everyone at the show for your positive conversation and critique.

Difficulties finding project locations

There have been shortcomings during the process of the “LIFELINES” project. The past two weeks have consisted of me going to local spaces in Colorado Springs, calling locations, and emailing managers. Trying to get booth locations approved to set the map up has left me with no follow-up locations so far. I am realizing that it is difficult for others to find value in the work I care about. I should never expect anyone to spend extra time to accommodate me. I will keep trying. I do not want this project to be readjusted to represent only UCCS students because I care about the diversity of my community as a whole. This blog post will be updated to represent each location until the goal of 100 people is reached. This project is also being documented on a student-shared blog at this link: https://medium.com/@cultagentz/lifelines-project-935e66f0fbf9
